Local Plan Options Consultation

The South Downs National Park Authority is currently preparing a Local Plan for the National Park. When adopted the Local Plan will set out the planning policies for the South Downs National Park and all planning applications for development within the National Park will be judged against these policies. This will be the first time that the National Park will be planned for as a single entity.

This Options Consultation represents the first stage in developing the Local Plan. We have identified 55 key issues and a number of options for how the Local Plan could deal with these issues.

The development of the Local Plan is being informed and influenced by the preparation of a Sustainability Appraisal (SA) process.
